Job Summary
You will work closely embedded in the business because at Axpo AI is a business capability. Acting as a sparring partner advisor and enablement resource you will help teams identify practical use cases get started with tools such as Claude Code Claude Cowork GitHub Copilot the Snowflake Cortex suite M365 Copilot and more and translate ideas into technically sound scalable agent-based applications.
This specific role is dedicated to Axpo Poland and works embedded with our Polish business teams. You will be working within IT department collaborating with a community of AI enablement peers and working closely with business users business area IT and our GenAI Competency Centre.
You will be part of the T&S AI Agent Program a cross-functional initiative driving AI adoption across Trading & Sales. The program fosters a culture of pragmatic experimentation and continuous learning giving you the opportunity to shape how AI becomes part of everyday work at Axpo while growing your expertise at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption. A central part of our strategy is building and scaling reusable AI components and ensuring their adoption.
What you will do:
Collaborate with business users and AI Champions to identify prioritize and size high-impact GenAI use cases balancing business value with technical feasibility to build a pipeline of high-ROI initiatives.
Facilitate workshops hackathons webinars and coaching sessions to guide teams from curiosity to confident productive use of AI tools.
Provide targeted short-term consulting sessions to help Business Unit teams reuse existing AI components validate architecture of new use cases and unblock challenges efficiently.
Partner closely with priority Business Area teams to co-design build and iterate on end-to-end AI agent solutions using structured prompting tool orchestration and agent workflows as well as develop and publish reusable Skills and MCP servers to scale these domain capabilities across the broader organization.
Promote Axpos AI Coding Guidelines ensuring responsible usage practices and raising awareness of key AI security risks (prompt injection supply chain attacks data exposure unintended automation) and guide teams on when to run agents autonomously in sandboxes versus keeping a human in the loop.
Stay ahead of the evolving GenAI landscape tracking new models frameworks agentic architectures and tooling advancements and translating emerging capabilities into actionable opportunities for Axpo.
What you bring & who you are:
University degree (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science Data Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience in AI software engineering and digital product delivery.
Strong software engineer experienced in the full development lifecycle from design to operations skilled in building scalable maintainable systems in agile environments leveragingmodern tooling and AI coding agents.
Solid understanding of how modern AI systems work (LLMs agents context handling limitations) and hands-on experience delivering enterprise AI solutions from concept to production navigating enterprise architecture complex security governance and integration constraints with existing systems.
Familiary with common patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) tool/function calling and agent orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Python SQL Git and cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) familiar with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g. CI/CD Docker Terraform basic networking /IAM) experience with Snowflake and front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript modern frameworks) is a plus.
Exceptional communicator who translates complex AI concepts like multi-agent architecture into accessible actionable insights for both technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders.
Focused on AI security and responsible deployment with strong judgment in balancing autonomous sandboxed execution with non-negotiable human-in-the-loop review
Pragmatic collaborative and service-oriented with a genuine passion for AI and Thrives in fast-paced environments through continuous learning effectively bringing others along as technology evolves.
Fluent in English and Polish.
