Youll be responsible for supporting approximately 50 websites across 35 trading brands throughout Australia and New Zealand ensuring website stability performance security and an exceptional user experience during a significant business transformation initiative. JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A WEBSITE DEVELOPER
As a Website Developer
You will build maintain and optimise websites landing pages and forms while ensuring reliable performance security and user experience. You will work closely with marketing stakeholders resolve helpdesk requests and support ongoing website migration and improvement projects.
Responsibilities as a Website Developer
Website Development & Maintenance
Build and update responsive websites landing pages and web forms.
Manage CMS themes plugins integrations updates backups and routine maintenance.
Monitor website uptime and resolve technical issues across approximately 50 websites.
Optimisation SEO & GEO
Improve page speed usability accessibility conversion performance and mobile responsiveness.
Apply technical SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) best practices.
Use analytics and performance data to recommend and implement improvements.
Website Redesign UX & Brand Experience
Lead website redesign and enhancement projects to improve user experience customer journeys and conversion performance.
Identify opportunities to modernise website design navigation content presentation and functionality across multiple travel and holiday brands.
Apply UX best practices user behaviour insights and analytics data to optimise customer engagement and online enquiries.
Recommend and implement improvements that enhance visual appeal usability accessibility and overall brand experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Helpdesk & Stakeholder Support
Handle website helpdesk requests from local trading brands across Australia and New Zealand.
Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and provide timely progress updates.
Document fixes updates and recurring issues to support efficient website operations.
Qualifications as a Website Developer would be:
Experience & Technical Skills
3-4 years of professional website development experience.
Strong experience managing multiple websites.
Proven experience leading website optimisation initiatives.
Understanding of UX/UI principles customer journey mapping and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
Ability to balance technical requirements with marketing branding and customer experience objectives.
Strong ownership and stakeholder communication.
Advanced WordPress/CMS expertise.
SEO GEO Analytics Performance optimisation.
Deliverables and Success Metrics
Websites remain stable secure current and available with minimal downtime.
Helpdesk requests and critical issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
Measurable improvements in website speed search visibility usability and conversion performance.
