Role Overview
We are seeking a US Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and employee benefits administration for our U.S. workforce. This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for all company employees ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance administering employee benefit programs maintaining compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations and serving as the primary point of contact for payroll and benefits-related inquiries. The ideal candidate has strong payroll administration experience exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of U.S. payroll processes benefits administration and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for all company employees ensuring accurate timely and compliant payroll processing across the organization.Maintain employee payroll records including new hires terminations promotions salary adjustments bonuses deductions and tax updates.Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans paid time off and other company-sponsored benefits.Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities related to payroll and benefits enrollment.Ensure payroll compliance with federal state and local labor laws tax regulations and company policies.Review payroll reports reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies before payroll processing.Process employee reimbursements garnishments benefit deductions and other payroll adjustments.Collaborate with HR Finance and external payroll or benefits providers to ensure accurate employee records.Prepare payroll-related reports audits and documentation for management and regulatory requirements.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll taxes deductions benefits leave balances and compensation.Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation payroll reconciliations and compliance reporting.Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy efficiency and employee experience.Maintain confidentiality of payroll compensation and employee information at all times.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.25 years of experience processing end-to-end U.S. payroll for an entire organization and administering employee benefits.Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll practices payroll tax regulations wage and hour laws and employee benefits administration.Experience with payroll systems such as ADP Paychex Paylocity UKG Gusto Workday Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll platforms.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas data analysis and payroll reconciliations.Experience managing benefit enrollments deductions leave administration and employee lifecycle payroll activities.Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict payroll deadlines.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
