Job Summary

Remote Full-Time

Open to applicants based in the Philippines

We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant with at least one year of experience supporting a U.S. drayage trucking freight or logistics company. The ideal candidate understands transportation accounting communicates effectively in English and can independently maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Create customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances

Reconcile bank credit-card fuel-card and vendor accounts

Record trucking and drayage expenses including fuel tolls chassis fees port charges detention demurrage and repairs

Review carrier owner-operator and driver settlements

Match bills delivery documents rate confirmations and proof of delivery

Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting

Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks or other accounting systems

Coordinate with dispatchers drivers customers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies

Support month-end closing and other accounting duties

Requirements:

At least one year of accounting or bookkeeping experience with a U.S. drayage trucking freight or logistics company

Working knowledge of U.S. accounting and bookkeeping practices

Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software

Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills

Excellent written and spoken English

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Dedicated computer and reliable internet connection

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with transportation management systems

Knowledge of port and container-related charges

Experience handling driver or owner-operator settlements

Familiarity with U.S. payroll 1099 contractors and basic compliance documentation
