Takeoff Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Takeoff Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis (MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM EST). The specialist will be responsible for performing accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings supporting cost estimation and ensuring precise documentation for project bids and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural structural and MEP drawings.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials labor and equipment.
• Utilize digital takeoff software (e.g. PlanSwift Bluebeam AutoCAD) to generate accurate calculations.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain organized takeoff records.
• Collaborate with estimators engineers and project managers to validate takeoff results.
• Identify discrepancies or omissions in plans and communicate findings promptly.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
• Support bid preparation and provide input for project budgets.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Architecture Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 23 years of experience in quantity takeoffs estimation or related construction roles.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in digital takeoff software (PlanSwift Bluebeam Revu AutoCAD or similar).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials methods and industry standards.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data management and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
