Job Summary
Scope
As a System Administrator for the Integrated Manufacturing Execution Layer (IMEL) you will oversee the complete lifecycle of IT systems supporting manufacturing logistics and quality assurance operations. Your primary focus will be on optimizing business efficiency and productivity through the analysis implementation and continuous improvement of IMEL systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including business users machine OEMs and project managers-to ensure seamless integration and achievement of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support IT Operations Systems within the IMEL scope (Manufacturing/Logistics/QA).
- Serve as the primary contact for users assisting with issue resolution requests and system challenges.
- Gather and analyze incident data determine root causes and drive permanent solutions collaborating with other IT support teams as needed.
- Analyze business requirements perform gap assessments and identify/implement effective solutions.
- Coordinate and execute system testing to validate new or updated functionalities before production release.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and user manuals for new or enhanced IMEL functionalities.
- Continuously assess current system states and recommend improvements to address limitations.
- Map business processes (primary and secondary) to the IMEL system.
- Confirm and document User Requirement Specifications throughout project phases.
- Specify and validate system configurations assisting users and collecting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) evidence until approval and validation.
- Collaborate with business users machine OEMs and project managers to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience with MS SQL Server and related services (e.g. SSRS).
- Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL query/programming (any language).
- Understanding of Service Management Processes (ITIL) and IT Service Management.
- Experience with DELMIA Apriso (an asset).
- Knowledge of manufacturing and logistics business processes.
- Familiarity with report development (SSRS Power BI) integration (SSIS) and IIoT concepts.
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is a plus.
- Project management knowledge is a plus.
- Understanding of client-server and networking concepts; strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills; fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Positive proactive attitude; able to work independently and as part of a cross-regional team.
- Ability to handle customer requests and complaints manage stress and balance workload.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call support model.
