Job Summary

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Companys only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified experienced and reliable Supervisor - Maintenance (Shutdown):

  • Lead a team of skilled Maintenance Planners (Shutdown) Specialists (Shutdown) and Mechanical Engineers that foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning ensuring alignment with operational goals and safety standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a Zero-Injury workplace environment.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance shutdown strategies for all equipment maintained by the department for the Processing Plant.
  • Ensure quality services are delivered on time within budget and set team objectives aligned with OceanaGolds Values and Visions.
  • Responsible for creating and overseeing maintenance shutdown and project schedules within the Processing Plant ensuring that all tasks are executed and completed on time.
  • Manage the Shutdown Establishment Planning Preparation Execution Completion and Improvement phases of planned shutdowns withing the Processing Plant

This role reports to Superintendent Maintenance (Shutdown).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements leadership strategies to enhance team performance and engagement
  • Coaches mentors and supports team members promoting professional development and succession planning
  • Develops and manages comprehensive system to track progress of contractor engagement in Processing Plant Shutdowns.
  • Develops and manages comprehensive system to monitor AMD Shutdown Contracts for services.
  • Manages the follow ups and administration of spare parts before during and after shutdown execution including withdrawals parts return kitting staging rotables write offs obsolescence and scrap management.
    Manages shutdown team members on the materials and logistic requirements for planned shutdown activities.
  • Drive shutdown improvements by reviewing practices criteria and procedure for an effective shutdown execution.

Qualifications :

  • Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way

Educational Background:

  • Graduate of mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.

Work Experience and Background:

  • 7 years of supervisory experience in the metal and mining industry with a proven track record of success in planning teams.

Specialization/License:

  • Licensed mechanical or electrical engineer or related field.
