Steel EstimatorCustomer Service Representative

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Steel Estimator / Customer Service Representative to manage incoming sales inquiries prepare accurate quotations and assist customers throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting project requirements creating basic technical drawings estimating fabricated steel products and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive client experience.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers converting leads into sales by delivering timely quotations answering product inquiries and coordinating with internal teams regarding customer requirements.

• Review customer inquiries specifications drawings and project requirements.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for fabricated steel products.
• Calculate material quantities fabrication costs labor requirements and other project-related expenses.
• Maintain quotation records and provide follow-ups with prospective customers.
• Revise estimates and quotations as project requirements change.
• Ensure all quotations are delivered promptly and professionally.

• Respond to incoming leads through email phone and other communication channels.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Answer customer questions regarding products pricing lead times and fabrication capabilities.
• Follow up on pending quotes and sales opportunities.
• Coordinate customer requirements with production and operations teams when necessary.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer and project records.
• Track quotation status and customer communications.
• Generate reports on sales leads quotations and conversion activities.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating and customer service processes.

• Previous experience in estimating customer service sales support or a related field.
• Ability to prepare quotations and cost estimates accurately.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints or fabrication plans.
• Ability to create basic drawings and layouts.
• Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and inquiries simultaneously.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional home-office setup.
