Job Summary

Summary: This newly created role will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including A/P A/R month-end close processes and various financial management reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily ACH and credit card deposits
  • Daily electronic payments
  • Daily COD payment reminders emails and phone calls
  • New customer credit application processing and collection of supporting documentation
  • New vendor processing and collection of supporting documentation
  • Collections on past due customer accounts emails and phone calls.
  • Weekly creation of Exec/Sales scorecards
  • Month-end sales reporting
  • Innovative month end journal entry preparation and upload
  • Innovative month end credit card processing
  • Innovative monthly account reconciliations
  • Innovative monthly use tax calculation
  • Innovative monthly customer statements
  • Incur payroll entries
  • Incur month end journal entry preparation
  • Incur monthly account reconciliations
  • Incur monthly financial preparation
  • Year End schedules for tax returns
  • Maintain a paperless filing system for all activities within the scope of this position
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or higher in accounting or business
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet monthly deadlines
  • Experience working in an ERP software environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and other Microsoft Office software
  • Dependable and reliable and able to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and dealing with internal and external customers
  • Good organizational skills keeping work area clean and well organized
