Software Engineer (AMS)

Your Team

You will be part of the Service Operations Client Life cycle Management and Client Relationship Management (CLM/CRM) Team which is responsible for ensuring stable platform operations and the continuous improvement of our Avaloq software and products for our clients.

As a Software Engineer you will design develop maintain and support business-critical applications and services within the CLM/CRM domain. You will be responsible for enhancing existing functionalities investigating and resolving production issues and ensuring the reliability performance and maintainability of the solutions delivered to our clients.

In this role you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts Service Managers Product teams and Project Delivery teams. You will take over maintain and enhance solutions delivered to production investigate and resolve technical issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of applications and services used by our clients.

Your key tasks 

• Ensure the stable reliable and efficient operation of Client Life cycle Management (CLM) Client Relationship Management (CRM) and integrated third-party applications.
• Leverage strong software development and coding expertise to analyze troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and complex technical issues.
• Design develop test and implement high-quality code fixes for application defects ensuring system stability and performance.
• Perform root cause analysis delivering software changes drive permanent resolutions and contribute to continuous application enhancements and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and services to meet evolving client and business requirements.
• Participate in client workshops and support our business analysts in requirements analysis
• Support testing activities including functional validation defect fixing integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Maintain clear technical documentation and actively promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
• To work with agile mindset process and ticketing platforms (Jira)
• Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of experience
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer Software Developer or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
• Strong programming analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and experience in RDBMS Oracle SQL queries and Oracle PL/SQL
• Knowledge of Java programming languages. Unix Python or similar can be valuable.
• Experience in software design development testing and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with software development best practices version control systems and CI/CD concepts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated proactive and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
• Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal)

It would be a real bonus if you have 

• Experience in application support incident management or service operations environments
• Knowledge of CLM AML KYC onboarding and related third-party solutions
• Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of Avaloq Core with certification
• Experience with modern software engineering practices automation and monitoring tools
