Senior System Administrator

CGI is seeking an experiencedPrincipal Consultant Senior System Administrator to play a key role in mentoring junior team members evaluating emerging technologies and contributing to continuous improvement across the engineering function. This position requires strong problem-solving skills excellent communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Lead the design development and deployment of complex software or infrastructure solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid level engineers.
Collaborate with product managers architects and cross functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
Participate in architectural discussions and propose scalable efficient system designs.
Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve system performance and reliability.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact.
Develop and maintain documentation white papers and training materials to support knowledge transfer for customers and junior team members.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through reliable support and service delivery.
Meet or exceed agreed service level targets defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) or project timelines

Must have 5 years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Proven capacity to perform efficiently in high-pressure environments.
Strong collaboration skills exhibiting a commitment to teamwork.
Dedication to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Flexibility with a proven ability to adapt quickly to changes and think conceptually.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects influence decision-making and mentor team members.
Strong expertise in Networking and Linux.
Proven experience designing and implementing scalable secure and high-performance systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and containerization tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) is an advantage but not a requirement.
Must be amenable to working onsite 1x a week in McKinley Taguig on a mid-shift schedule.
