Senior Data Analytics Consultant Banking & Risk Analytics

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to perform advanced analytics on large-scale banking and transaction datasets identify trends and patterns and deliver actionable insights that support risk management fraud monitoring customer journey analysis and business performance. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills experience with tools such as SAS SQL Tableau Power BI and Python and the ability to communicate complex findings to business partners.

In this role you will:

• Consult review and research moderately complex business operational and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
• Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
• Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
• Lead or participate on large cross group projects
• Mentor less experienced staff
• Collaborate and consult with peers colleagues external contractors and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
• Experience using SAS and Python for data analysis reporting automation and analytics solutions

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Demonstrated expertise with analytic tools such as SAS EG PC SAS SAS Visual Analytics SAS Viya SQL and effectively obtain and merge data perform analytics and automate reporting from various sources is a plus.

• Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-experts

• Knowledge of Consumer-facing business processes products data and systems.

• Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward in a complex resource-constrained environment with conflicting needs across stakeholders.

• Effective leadership ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans; ability to plan prioritize and set goals. Must possess strong collaboration skills.

• Excellent analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex.

• Ability to influence without direct authority create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated ability to execute effectively in a matrixed organization develop partnerships with many business and functional areas.

• Ability to lead through adversity and adjust to changing priorities.

• Experience preparing presentations and analysis for third party and regulatory audiences.

• Knowledge of Wells Fargo Community Bank products sales processes data and systems (for internal applicants)
  

Job Expectations:

• Lead the design and implementation of Tableau dashboard visualizations and define required supporting data architecture (e.g. data marts centralized data sources ad hoc data sources) for internal clients
• Be able to tell a story with data that will allow our partners to visualize risk appropriately
• Manipulate and process large datasets using the analytical and reporting features of multiple tools
• Define requirements for and test data sources for reporting and design metrics that measure control effectiveness various risks and KPIs
• Mentor team members to broaden the teams use of complex analytical and data visualization techniques
• Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide guidance and training to teams in asking appropriate questions interpreting data and translating into action
• Must be amenable to work from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Manila Time Monday through Friday.
• Must be amenable to a hybrid work arrangement with three (3) days onsite and two (2) days remote per week subject to business requirements and changes.
• Must be willing to report onsite at McKinley Taguig City.
