Job Summary

The Research & Development Assistant Manager supports the planning development and commercialization of new food products for restaurant operations. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are operationally feasible standardized and successfully implemented across commissary and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing new product development and commercialization projects.
Coordinate product trials pilot runs and operational validations.
Develop standardized recipes production procedures and technical documentation.
Prepare SOPs BOMs product specifications and costing information.
Coordinate with QA Operations Supply Chain Procurement and Training teams during commercialization.
Conduct product evaluations and recommend process improvements.
Support supplier evaluations and raw material testing.
Monitor implementation performance and resolve operational issues during rollout.
Supervise assigned R&D staff and project activities.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Food Technology Food Science Engineering Culinary Management or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Restaurant R&D Product Development Technical Services or Food Manufacturing.
At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience in recipe standardization and product commercialization.
Strong project coordination and communication skills.
Knowledge of SAP/ERP is an advantage.
