Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial and project delivery teams across Australian civil infrastructure this role you will be responsible for quantity take-offs cost planning forecasting contract administration subcontractor management and commercial reporting while ensuring projects remain financially controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Schedule:Monday to Friday 7 AM 4 PM (PH Time)
- Work Set up: Work-from-home
- Salary range: Mid-Level - Php 70000 - 80000 Senior Level - Php 80000 - 100000
In this role you will:
Financial & Commercial
- Perform quantity take-offs from design drawings and BIM models where applicable.
- Prepare detailed cost plans budgets and estimates from first principles.
- Assist project teams with cost reporting and maintaining risk registers.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly project reforecasting.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tender summaries.
- Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities.
- Value completed works and coordinate payments in accordance with Security of Payments Act (SOPA) requirements.
- Identify and onboard competitive suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support contract administration claims and dispute management.
Project Delivery
- Produce monthly and quarterly cost forecast reports.
- Provide explanations for project cost variances and performance trends.
- Prepare and submit reports to clients.
- Assist with project handover from estimating to project delivery teams
Leadership & Collaboration
- Promote quantity surveying best practices throughout the organization.
- Support the development of commercial and estimating capabilities within the team.
- Build strong working relationships with commercial engineering construction and administration teams.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff where appropriate.
- Prepare high-quality reports and communications for management and clients.
Health Safety & Sustainability
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Report incidents hazards and near misses promptly.
- Ensure contractual sustainability and environmental obligations are identified and implemented.
- Verify supplier and subcontractor compliance with sustainability requirements
Were Looking for Someone Who has:
- Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
- Experience supporting civil infrastructure utilities or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies costing and contract administration.
- Experience preparing detailed cost plans budgets and forecasts.
- Knowledge of claims management and contractual obligations.
- Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and suppliers.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced cost estimation and budgeting skills.
- Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
- Knowledge of BIM and quantity take-off processes.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel
