We work with around 7000 partner communities or barangays across the country delivering programs on PIER (Protection from Violence Inclusive Health Education to Economic Empowerment and Resilience) and Humanitarian
Plan International Pilipinas is looking for aProject Officer to support the implementation of the ECHO-funded ACCESS 3 Project a humanitarian initiative delivered in partnership with other organizations across the Philippines.
This role will lead the activation of a Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) during disasters and conflict-related emergencies helping ensure that affected communities receive timely coordinated and accountable assistance. When emergencies are not active the position will support preparedness activities project implementation and partner coordination.
What Youll Do
- Lead and coordinate rapid emergency response activities during disasters and conflict-related crises.
- Conduct rapid needs assessments and support response planning for affected communities.
- Work closely with consortium partners government agencies LGUs BARMM ministries and humanitarian actors.
- Monitor response activities and help ensure quality timely and accountable delivery of assistance.
- Prepare situation reports project updates and donor reports.
- Support project implementation monitoring documentation and operational coordination.
- Strengthen emergency preparedness through contingency planning simulations and readiness activities.
Who Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Social Work Community Development DRRM Development Studies Social Sciences Public Administration or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in humanitarian response emergency preparedness DRRM or humanitarian project management.
- Experience conducting rapid needs assessments and supporting emergency response operations.
- Strong coordination experience with government agencies NGOs and humanitarian partners.
- Experience working in disaster-affected and/or conflict-affected communities.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards safeguarding protection gender equality and accountability principles.
- Experience with donor-funded or consortium projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Mindanao and BARMM context is highly desirable.
