This role exists due to both internal staff movement and continued business
growth. We are looking for someone who can step into a key operational
position and help drive quoting accuracy workshop coordination and customer
outcomes across our fabrication and manufacturing operations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Known as a Workshop Estimator you will be responsible for:
  • Liaising with the Workshop Manager regarding the quotation and design of fabricated parts
  • Producing parts lists and quotations for fabricated items and assemblies
  • Interpreting engineering drawings technical sketches and customer supplied specifications.
  • Producing and modifying engineering drawings layouts and fabrication sketches for manufacturing purposes.
  • Reverse-engineering components and assemblies for manufacturing and supply purposes.
  • Cataloguing complete machines and assemblies to support the clients product supply opportunities.
  • Accurately recording site dimensions and transferring measurements into manufacturing documentation
  • Liaising with customers regarding design intent fabrication methods and cost implications.
  • Coordinating with workshop personnel and subcontractors to confirm dimensional and fabrication requirements.
  • Supporting workshop operations through accurate job costing and material tracking.
  • Maintaining ERP records and associated manufacturing documentation systems
  • Contributing to continuous improvement within workshop estimating and manufacturing processes.
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality fabricated solutions across multiple industries
Goals Youll Achieve in Your First Three Months
  • You will develop a strong understanding of the business our
    customers our manufacturing capabilities and the industries we support.
  • You will build relationships across the workshop operations and customer base while gaining confidence in our systems and processes.
  • You will become highly capable in the estimating drawing and fabrication workflow processes used within the business
  • You will understand how projects move from enquiry through to manufacturing and delivery.
  • You will begin delivering accurate quotations technical drawings and fabrication documentation independently. You will start building momentum by contributing directly to workshop efficiency customer outcomes and business growth.
Experience Youll Need
  • Previous experience working as a Workshop Estimator within fabrication or manufacturing.
  • Strong AutoCAD capability including 3D modelling experience
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience producing quotations parts lists and fabrication documentation
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
