THE ROLE
Remitlys People team is growing and were looking for a People Operations Partner (Benefits) to own end-to-end benefits administration for our Philippines employee population on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on detail-driven role for someone who takes real ownership of getting compliance and execution right while always looking for ways to make our benefits programs simpler and more valuable for employees.
Youll be the go-to expert for both company-sponsored and statutory benefits including HMO group life insurance SSS PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG (HDMF) managing everything from enrollment renewal and claims to government remittances and vendor relationships. Youll partner closely with employees vendors and government agencies to resolve issues quickly and keep our programs compliant with local regulations.
This role requires strong attention to detail sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive confidential information with care. Youll bring both operational rigor and a genuine drive to improve how benefits are delivered using better processes and modern tools including AI where they add real value.
WHAT YOULL DO
Benefits Administration & Compliance
Administering company-sponsored and statutory benefits end-to-end (HMO group life insurance and other wellness programs plus SSS PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG/HDMF) including enrollment renewal and claims processing while ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Government & Vendor Liaison
Liaising with third-party vendors healthcare providers and government agencies (SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG) to resolve employee concerns process required documentation and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Statutory Claims & Documentation
Processing and submitting required documentation for new hires resignations loans and maternity/sickness claims; monitoring statutory claims for accurate payroll inclusion; and preparing certifications of contribution as requested by employees or government agencies.
New Hire Onboarding & Employee Support
Facilitating benefits orientation for new hires handling day-to-day benefits inquiries and ticketing with compassion and urgency and maintaining FAQs and self-service materials so employees can find answers quickly.
Data Integrity & Continuous Improvement
Maintaining the accuracy integrity and confidentiality of employee and benefits data and proactively identifying opportunities to improve benefits processes documentation and self-service tools including exploring AI and automation where they add value.
WHO YOU ARE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Philippines benefits administration compensation and benefits payroll or a closely related HR function.
In-depth knowledge of PHL statutory benefits (SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG) and local labor law compliance.
A high level of confidentiality and sound judgment handling sensitive employee data.
Strong attention to detail and a process-first mindset; you catch what others miss.
A strong sense of urgency and initiative in meeting deadlines and resolving employee concerns.
A collaborative partner who builds trust with employees vendors and government agencies alike.
Tech-forward and systems-curious; comfortable with HRIS platforms and open to using AI and modern tools to work smarter.
