Payroll Officer (Hybrid, Morning Shift)

Job Summary
- Assist in the accurate and timely calculation preparation and processing of Australian operations for both fortnight payroll termination payments and out of cycle pays
- Assist in the accurate and timely calculation preparation and processing of AU operations commissions and bonuses
- Process employee onboarding and offboarding and other employee detail changes in the Groups HR application system
- Support the monthly financial reporting and close function and Payroll Accountant with preparation of monthly AU payroll journals analysis of variances and accruals including leave accruals
- Support the monthly and annual payroll tax processes
- Support the monthly and annual Fringe Benefits tax processes with investigation and analysis
- Support end of year and annual audit reviews by providing documentation to external auditors
- Support the Senior Manager AP and Payroll in executing payroll related projects and Group initiatives
- Comply with Group controls framework to ensure accuracy and integrity in all payroll related activities
- Effectively use available AI tools to support continuous improvement of payroll and close processes
- Payroll and Finance related ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications :
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll accounting financial accounting or a similar role is required
- Bachelor degree in accounting and finance or equivalent
- Experience and comfort with the Australian market and regulatory requirements is highly preferred
- Experience with month-end close processes particularly with payroll to ledger reconciliations accruals and journal processing
- At least intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Employment Hero and Certinia (Financial Force) highly regarded but not required
- Must be currently residing in the Greater Manila Area Philippines (Metro Manila Neighbouring provinces)
Successful candidates must have a stable postpaid internet connection and a quiet dedicated workspace at home with appropriate furniture (desk and office chair)
