The Part-Time Accountant supports the Accounting Manager in the execution of essential accounting and finance functions. This role is responsible for assisting with payroll processing statutory benefits administration accounts payable and receivable financial record maintenance and compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other government requirements. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage accounting tasks efficiently while working on a part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll and ensure compliance with statutory benefits requirements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including invoice preparation payment processing and collection monitoring.
Prepare and assist in filing BIR reports and other government-mandated compliances.
Maintain accurate organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Assist in bank reconciliations and monitoring of cash transactions.
Support the preparation of financial reports and analyses for management review.
Help ensure compliance with internal controls company policies and accounting procedures.
Assist with audits and implementation of corrective actions when necessary.
Support accounting system updates data entry and process improvements under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned and appropriate to the role.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 5years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience in payroll and BIR compliance is an advantage.
Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards taxation and government statutory requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office applications particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting software is preferred.
Strong attention to detail organizational and time-management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a part-time capacity.
Willingness to learn and collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager.
