Salary: USD $750$850 per month based on experience and qualifications

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed attorney to remotely support a busy U.S. divorce and family law firm. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with case coordination legal document preparation client communication scheduling deadline tracking legal research and day-to-day case management.

This position involves regular communication with clients facing sensitive and emotional family matters. Excellent English communication skills empathy professionalism discretion and sound judgment are essential.

The ideal candidate has a strong legal background works independently and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment. Previous experience in divorce or family law is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Support attorneys handling divorce child custody child support spousal support and other family law matters.

Draft review organize and maintain legal documents correspondence pleadings declarations and case files.

Conduct legal and case-related research as assigned.

Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients regarding case updates documents appointments and outstanding requirements.

Follow up with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation.

Coordinate consultations meetings hearings court appearances and other case-related appointments.

Monitor case deadlines court dates filing requirements attorney follow-ups and outstanding requests.

Maintain complete accurate and well-organized electronic case records.

Coordinate communication among clients attorneys courts and other involved parties.

Protect confidential and privileged information at all times.

Assist with additional legal and administrative responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree.

Must be a licensed attorney in the candidates country of residence.

At least 12 years of legal experience.

Experience in divorce family law civil litigation or a related practice area is strongly preferred.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong legal research document drafting and case-management skills.

Excellent organization time management and follow-through.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Professional and empathetic when communicating with clients experiencing sensitive or emotional family matters.

Ability to work independently think critically and exercise sound judgment.

High level of confidentiality discretion and professionalism.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Ability to quickly learn U.S. legal procedures case-management systems and other tools.

Comfortable working full-time during U.S. Pacific Time hours.

Reliable computer stable internet connection and professional remote workspace.

Preferred: Previous experience supporting a U.S. divorce or family law firm.
