As a Trading Services Analyst within JPMorganChase you will play a pivotal role in the execution and processing of trade orders ensuring the smooth operation of our trading and portfolio management businesses. Your work will have a significant impact within your team contributing to the overall performance of our trading services. Your responsibilities span from supporting order execution to settlement ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all trade activities. You will leverage your developing knowledge of market products and automation technologies to optimize our operating platform. Your ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement will be developed in this role as you work to enhance our processes and systems. With a focus on collaboration you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders while developing your influence and presentation skills to communicate data-driven insights and collaborate in impactful decisions. Your work will have a direct impact on our teams performance and the achievement of our short-term operational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review risk and control processes for compliance. Identify and implement process improvements to minimize financial loss
- Document update and enhance workflows and procedures. Escalate and resolve operational issues collaborating with management and teams
- Report on key performance indicators and management statistics
- Assist in the preparation on all ad hoc enquires from clients; this includes both internal and external clients (although emphasis is inter-department communication).
- Demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge of various investment instruments and markets (stock exchanges) and their effect on the portfolios valuation.
- Be able to understand the principles of infrastructure securities non-listed securities such as mutual funds and their differing pricing methodologies during the cum & ex-cum periods and how to interpret third party information where required.
- Gain knowledge of the clients structurei.e. its and various types of portfolios their deliverables and some of their specific requirements.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Have 1 year of industry experience with day-to-day operations processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of global financial markets and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical numerical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated ownership accountability and ability to work under pressure
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Experience in Securities Lending Settlements Trade Support/Middle Office or COACs role
- Experience with automation tools such as Tableau Alteryx or Python
- Proven track record in process improvement and risk mitigation
- Ability to operate independently and as a team player
- Experience in workflow documentation and reporting
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced environments
