About the Job:
We are looking for an Outpatient Coding Supervisor to join our clients healthcare team and oversee the daily operations of the outpatient coding this role you will lead a team of medical coders ensure accurate and timely coding of outpatient records monitor productivity and quality standards and support continuous process improvement. You will also provide guidance to the team while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily operations of the outpatient coding team.
Ensure accurate and timely assignment of ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS codes.
Monitor coding quality productivity and turnaround time to meet organizational goals.
Review coding work provide feedback and support team development.
Manage coding workflows and assist in achieving unbilled account targets.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines regulatory requirements and company policies.
Analyze coding reports and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Support coding audits quality improvement initiatives and issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve coding accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
5 years of medical coding experience with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Active AHIMA/AAPC (CPC CIC or CCS) or RHIT certification is required.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM ICD-10-PCS CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic Cerner Meditech or 3M Encoder.
Experience handling simple to complex inpatient cases including high-dollar accounts.
Experience in ambulatory care or outpatient coding supervision is an advantage.
Strong leadership communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can start immediately if possible.
