Job Summary
Were looking for a Loans & Deposits New Accounts Senior Associate to join our Insurance Operations this role you areresponsible for the accurate and timely processing of new account transactions account maintenance activities and operational support functions for Manulife Bank products. The role ensures that all transactions are processed in accordance with established procedures service level agreements (SLAs) quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Process all In Good Order (IGO) and Not In Good Order (NIGO) new account transactions for loan deposit and investment products in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
Review applications and supporting documentation to ensure completeness accuracy and compliance with business requirements.
Process complex transactions account maintenance activities and operational reports related to banking products and services.
Complete assigned tasks within established service level agreements (SLAs) productivity expectations and daily processing timelines.
Collaborate directly with business units to address issues inquiries and concerns related to Manulife Bank products and operational processes.
Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines including the application of enhanced due diligence for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) high-risk clients and other regulatory requirements.
Process and maintain client information updates regulatory requests and periodic operational reporting activities.
Support loan funding reconciliation exception handling and follow-up activities for incomplete or outstanding transactions.
Review and process online account applications and other digitally submitted requests in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor workload queues and prioritize urgent transactions to ensure turnaround time quality and productivity standards are achieved.
Provide day-to-day support guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members.
Assist with identifying training needs and support onboarding and development activities for new and existing employees.
Participate in process improvement initiatives operational projects and implementation activities to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Develop and maintain process documentation procedural guides and operational controls to support consistency and risk management.
Demonstrate flexibility by rendering overtime during peak periods and high-volume situations.
Bachelors degree holders: At least 1 year of experience in banking operations financial services loan administration deposit operations or transaction processing.
Undergraduates (minimum of 2 years completed): At least 2 years of relevant experience in banking operations financial services loan administration deposit operations or transaction processing.
For internal candidates: Must have consistently met service quality and productivity metrics over the past six months (e.g. Quality Productivity Adherence and Attendance).
Strong ability to analyze and understand problem statements and accurately interpret customer information.
Demonstrated ability to compose clear concise and grammatically correct emails.
Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) with strong computer navigation skills.
Must be amenable to working on a night shift schedule.
Prior experience in banking operations financial services loans deposits investments or account administration.
Working knowledge of AML KYC FATCA CRS and related regulatory requirements.
Experience using banking and operational platforms such as AWD Portfolio Plus (PPlus) Finacle Banklink or similar systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
