Planate Management Group South East Asia Corp (PMGSEAC) is a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled and experienced professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive support to our clients. The IT Intern will assist the IT department with various tasks to support the companys overall technology infrastructure. He/she will have hands-on experience in IT operations asset management and technical support.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in troubleshooting basic hardware issues (PCs laptops monitors peripherals).
Support users with software problems including Microsoft 365 email access and login errors.
Help resolve basic network issues such as Wi-Fi connectivity printer access and VPN concerns.
Perform device setup configuration imaging and installation of approved applications.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on laptops desktops and office IT equipment.
Help maintain the IT asset inventory including tagging labeling and updating asset records.
Track and document borrowed or returned IT equipment used by employees.
Assist with basic networking tasks like cabling checks switch port verification and connectivity testing.
Monitor network and internet dashboards and report any irregularities to the IT team.
Update IT documentation troubleshooting guides and create step-by-step user instructions.
Prepare weekly accomplishment reports and summaries of completed support tasks.
Support user onboarding by preparing devices accounts and required system access.
Install system updates run antivirus scans and help ensure security compliance on user devices.
Participate in IT improvement projects such as system migrations network upgrades and SharePoint/PowerApps enhancements.
Collaborate with IT staff daily to receive assignments escalate issues and support overall IT operations
Assist in identifying and reporting potential cybersecurity threats including suspicious emails phishing attempts malicious links and unsafe attachments
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
Basic understanding of IT hardware software components and IT asset management principles.
Familiarity with basic IT troubleshooting and support processes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
