Job Summary
Summary
The Senior HR Manager provides both strategic and tactical human resources leadership and support to meet the needs of the business. This individual is an action-oriented self-starter who develops HR strategies and implements HR practices in support of organizational alignment with the local leadership the SHM is responsible for creating developing and executing programs with a sense of urgency and producing clear results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Owns the direction and execution of tasks across all the disciplines of Human Resources (e.g. recruitment & selection compensation/time keeping organizational development learning & development performance management coaching and employee relations)
- Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence appropriately
- Ability to successfully monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement thus sharing in the ultimate responsibility for creating a great place to work
- Develops and recommends communication and change strategies to ensure the business is moving in a desired direction
- Through regular interactions with managers and employees identifies business needs and develop plans for resolution in a timely manner
- Monitors key HR metrics and preempts required actions
- Develops implements and ensures consistent application of HR strategies guidelines and programs
- Develops and regularly reviews content policies and training in support of HR processes
- Creates and implements internal standards for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of HR delivery and overall function
- Sets clear objectives for the HR department and will lead the hiring/training once there is greenlight to increase staff
- Responsible for HR data integrity for Philippines
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations industry trends current practices new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources and ensures compliance with all local statutes involving employment
- Special Projects as required. Identified projects include:
- HR portal
- Employee Handbooks
- Oracle/Taleo (HRIS system)
- Orientation/On-boarding programs
- Training / Talent programs
Requirements
- 10 years of experience with strong business partnering skills i.e. developing and implementing HR strategies and solutions for a start-up company with at least 3 years in manager level roles or above
- Demonstrated success with a consultative HR leadership approach to business partnering
- Effective and positive persuasion and influencing skills
- Able to make connections across complex problems or ideas (highly preferred)
- Ability to perceive the big picture in any situation while ensuring related details are covered
- Empathetic to other peoples values and points of view thus having the ability to tactfully and confidently communicate with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and human resources activities
- Ability to maintain understand and respect confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with excellent judgment and discretion
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; strong interpersonal collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle changes to work demands and stay organized focused even-tempered and congenial when faced with multiple deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Philippines employment laws and regulations and experienced in handling all aspects of employee relations matters
- Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency
