Position Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day operational support (FX transaction Fund Transfers Cash Projections Cash Reconciliations etc.) prioritizing as necessary.
- Ability to cover tasks that might arise from coverage issues.
- Communicate effectively with the Front Office (Portfolio Managers) Business Partners custodians and other third-party vendors in both written and verbal form to ensure timely and smooth settlements and issues resolution.
- Investigate and resolve overdraft or breaks highlighted in the systems or raised by Front Office (Portfolio Managers/Traders) Custodians or other Internal Investment teams.
- Highlights positions and cash reconciliations related investigate and resolve reconciliations breaks.
- Actively manage risks including but not limited to Operational Reputational and Settlement.
- Ensure strong understanding of tasks assigned including investment concepts best practices and system requirements.
- Participate in Cross skilling assignments guides and teacher new joiners and less senior team members.
- Timely escalation of issues to Subject Matter Expert or Technical/Team Leader. Proactively mitigate process gaps or potential issues.
- Ability to think critically and act timely on issue resolutions and escalations.
- Manage and maintain good working relationships with Front Office Onshore and Offshore counterparts.
- Skilled in root-cause analysis to identify production problems and errors (creating and validating Sequence of Events) and develop timely solutions and controls to apply.
- Strong communication skills and use of tact to resolve conflicts.
- Able to initiate and manage projects and process automations to promote service excellence.
- Provide training and guidance to junior members and new joiners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance Economics or any related business course.
- Minimum5 years related work experience within Trade Support Middle Office Investment Operations Cash Management and/ or Fund Accounting. Investment certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge in securities instruments such as Equities Corporate and Government Bonds US Treasury bonds Foreign Exchange (FX) trades Time Deposits etc.
- Good analytical and diagnostic skills with knowledge and strong ability of understanding process design.
- Excellent communication skills. (verbal written and reading comprehension)
- Demonstrates strong flexibility in the face of ambiguous situations shifting demands and challenging work environments. Uses diplomacy and tact to resolve difficult situations.
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment highly trainable and keen attention to details with a strong analytical ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Capability to resolve complex problems and takes perspectives on existing solutions.
- Capable of building metrics reports and presentations as needed by stakeholders or the management
- Understands the concepts surrounding Trade Support functions Trade Life Cycle and Cash Management.
- Possesses a fundamental understanding of investment transactions trade lifecycle and various asset classes.
- Good working knowledge in using Bloomberg and other trading applications and systems.
- Knowledge in Aladdin Bloomberg SimCorp Dimension and to different custodian portals is highly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge regarding Data Management Pricing Settlements Reconciliation Transactions and Transfers processes.
