FinOps Manager (Cloud Cost Management)

Job Summary
Position Responsibilities:
- Track and manage cloud spend against budget and forecast; analyze and explain variances.Identify drivers behind cloud consumption and spending trends.Partner with Finance Engineering and Product teams to improve cost visibility and accountability.Develop executive-ready dashboards and reports on cloud consumption trends and forecasts.Support cost optimization efforts through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Delivers analysis reporting and insights to enable cost optimization decisions.
- Supports optimization initiatives and governance processes established by leadership.
- Perform detailed cost analysis across cloud services and environments.
- Support tagging allocation showback/chargeback processes.
- Monitor and track realized savings from optimization initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools and data models.
- Influences decision-making through insights
- Works within defined FinOps frameworks and governance models
- Mentor analysts and build FinOps capability within the organization
- Promote adoption of tools automation and AI-driven insights for cost management
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in FinOps cloud cost management or tech financeStrong analytical and reporting skillsHands-on experience with Azure/AWS cost toolsAbility to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven experience leading cross-functional programs or large initiatives
- Strong understanding of FinOps frameworks governance and operating models
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g. SQL Python PowerShell).
- Experience using AI or low-code tools such as Copilot Studio to automate reporting or analysis.
- Familiarity with tagging allocation or showback/chargeback practices.
