Estimator Concrete Foundations

The Estimator for Concrete Foundations will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates material takeoffs and bid proposals for concrete foundation projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of construction drawings concrete work processes and industry standards. The estimator will collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to ensure competitive and precise bids that align with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural structural and civil drawings to identify scope of work.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete foundations including excavation formwork reinforcement and concrete placement.
• Prepare cost estimates covering materials labor equipment and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop bid proposals and ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to validate estimates and adjust for field conditions.
• Track and update estimates based on change orders RFIs and addenda.
• Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases for future projects.
• Communicate directly with clients and vendors to clarify scope pricing and project requirements.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete foundation estimating or structural construction projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods reinforcement detailing and foundation systems.
• Experience with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam PlanSwift AutoCAD Excel).
• Familiarity with industry codes standards and safety practices.
