Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Download save and organise construction plans and project documentation.
- Review and prepare plans for quantity take-offs and quoting.
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs from construction plans and drawings.
- Support the estimating and quoting process by preparing the required plans and project information.
- Assist with the day-to-day estimating workload.
- Take on additional estimating responsibilities as you become familiar with the business and its processes.
- Previous roofing estimating and quantity take-off experience is preferred.
- Experience with metal roofing and cladding is highly advantageous.
- Confident in reading construction plans and completing accurate take-offs.
- Groundplan experience is highly preferred.
- Simpro experience is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Australian experience is advantageous but relevant experience from the US Canada Philippines or other markets will be considered.

Required Skills:
Advanced proficiency in quantity takeoffs estimating and reporting. Strong experience in construction management software for document control and project tracking. Proven capability in construction-specific estimating and accounting functions. High proficiency in Excel (for data analysis/exporting) Word (for professional specifications) and Outlook (for project correspondence). Proven experience in an Estimator or Project Administrator role within the Australian construction industry preferably with exposure to luxury residential or commercial sectors. Strong understanding of Australian building codes and construction methods. Exceptional mathematical literacy and organizational skills with a perfectionist eye for detail. Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Building Project Support/Estimating or Construction Management) are highly regarded.
