Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for residential building projects
- Review architectural plans drawings specifications and client selections to support estimating activities
- Estimate materials labor fixtures finishes and subcontractor/trade requirements
- Manage and maintain project information within Buildertrend
- Assist with ordering materials preparing purchase orders and coordinating procurement activities
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing product availability and delivery schedules
- Track project costs against budgets and assist in monitoring project expenditure
- Identify pricing discrepancies missing information cost overruns and potential project risks
- Support the team with variations cost updates reporting and general project administration
- Maintain accurate project records documentation and estimating data
- Minimum 24 years of experience in estimating quantity take-offs procurement or residential construction support roles
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods materials and trade sequencing
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and technical documents
- Experience preparing BOQs and project cost estimates with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Buildertrend Microsoft Excel and other construction/project management tools
- Excellent numerical analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience with procurement supplier coordination and purchase order processing is highly regarded
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management Quantity Surveying Engineering Architecture or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of Australian residential construction standards and terminology is advantageous

Required Skills:
Advanced proficiency in quantity takeoffs estimating and reporting. Strong experience in construction management software for document control and project tracking. Proven capability in construction-specific estimating and accounting functions. High proficiency in Excel (for data analysis/exporting) Word (for professional specifications) and Outlook (for project correspondence). Proven experience in an Estimator or Project Administrator role within the Australian construction industry preferably with exposure to luxury residential or commercial sectors. Strong understanding of Australian building codes and construction methods. Exceptional mathematical literacy and organizational skills with a perfectionist eye for detail. Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Building Project Support/Estimating or Construction Management) are highly regarded.
