Engineer 1 Product Environmental Compliance
Copeland is a global provider of sustainable climate solutions creating efficient residential commercial and industrial spaces through HVACR technologies. By joining us as an Engineer 1 Product Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the compliance of business unit articles in terms of global laws such as EU REACH RoHS Conflict Minerals Proposition 65 etc.
In this capacity you will be responsible for evaluating Copeland product bill of materials and issuing a declaration of conformity based upon global environmental laws and regulations. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In this role you will:
- Conduct assessment of bill of materials for customer requests.
Issue a declaration letter for products completely assessed against requested legislations.
Conduct supplier outreach for material declaration submission.
Interpret and verify supplier material declaration submissions before they are loaded into the system.
Perform regular meetings with the business unit point of contact to discuss the action registry compliance status and targets.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Chemistry Materials Science or equivalent.
1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of Materials Chemicals and Environmental laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
WORK CONDITIONS
This role will have a mid shift schedule from 2pm to 11pm
We have a hybrid setup and we work on site for thrice a week
