Engineer – Electrical Projects (2-year Fixed Term Contract)

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Companys only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine with over 800 employees that support the mine.

As a Engineer - Electrical Projects you will Support the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction commissioning and close-out. Work with engineering construction operations and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely on time within budget and to required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support electrical projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with engineering construction operations and project teams.
• Manage project documentation schedules costs risks and progress.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety technical and quality standards.
• Coordinate shutdowns switching tie-ins and cutover activities.
• Monitor procurement contracts and project deliverables.
• Conduct field inspections and support QA/QC activities.
• Assist with testing commissioning and energisation of electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate handover and close-out documentation.

Qualifications :

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC licence.
• Minimum 3 years experience in electrical project delivery.
• Knowledge of HV/MV power systems electrical standards and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of MS Project.
• Heavy industry experience and project management qualifications are desirable.
