What will you do

As a CFD Engineer in the Transport team you will interface with process design requirements and design mechanical equipment and systems to meet the service conditions. Awareness of operational principles and collaboration with other engineering disciplines is essential to achieve human-centered design solutions for our customers.

In this role you will:

Have good awareness of applicable Australian (AS) and International (API NFPA ASME BS) codes and standards relating to wind heat exchangers water tanks transport infrastructures HVAC and fans

The ability to compare select justify and specify materials of construction compatible to given service considering the operating conditions

Understanding of equipment types and their application ranges

Understanding of reliability and maintainability requirements

Experience in developing equipment specifications and mechanical data sheets for procurement

Be a good communicator and team player

Strong in written communication to articulate technical decisions with due justification

Report writing skills

Experience in reviewing vendor drawings and data

Computational skills are essential: experienced with use of Ansys Phyton MATLAB Excel FDS and 6Sixgma

What can you bring to the team

Firstly you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Bachelors degree in engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Experience with wind and water CFD modelling
• Proficiency in ANSYS CFD software
• Desirable: 6Sigma software
• Desirable: Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS)
