Job Summary

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.

The Electronics Engineer will support the PMG Technical Services Group across a wide range of activities involving all aspects of electronics and communications engineering.
This is an independent contractor role with a work-from-home setup.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze system requirements capacity cost and customer needs to determine the feasibility of the project and develop a system plan
  • Confer with engineers customers vendors and others to discuss existing and potential engineering projects or products
  • Review and evaluate the work of others inside and outside the organization to ensure effectiveness technical adequacy and compatibility in the resolution of complex engineering problems
  • Evaluate operational systems prototypes and proposals and recommend repair or design modifications based on factors such as environment service cost and system capabilities
  • Coordinate activities concerned with construction installation maintenance operation and modification of electronic equipment products and systems
  • Prepare engineering designs and specifications for construction relocation and installation of equipment facilities products and systems
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electronic theory to engineering projects
  • Prepare review and maintain maintenance schedules design documentation and operational reports and charts
  • Design Electronic Systems products software and components for scientific military medical industrial and commercial applications
  • Create testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components.
  • Facility assessment and recommend design modifications and repairs
  • Inspect electronic systems instruments and equipment to ensure they meet applicable regulations and safety standards
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • License Electronics and Communications Engineering is required (ECE)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years in design and/or field experience
  • Adequate relevant training
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new technologies
  • Must be physically fit and willing to travel
  • Possess a Philippine Passport and a Drivers License.
