Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Prepare residential plans layouts and construction drawings using AutoCAD
- Convert sketches mark-ups and design notes into clear and accurate CAD documentation
- Update and revise drawings based on client designer or project feedback
- Assist with concept design development and preliminary sketch work for new residential projects
- Maintain organised drawing files documentation and version control records
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy consistency and completeness before issue
- Coordinate drawing updates and ensure drafting standards are maintained across projects
- Support the project team with drafting-related tasks and documentation requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in residential drafting CAD documentation or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with experience producing residential construction drawings
- Solid understanding of residential drafting standards construction documentation and building layouts
- Ability to interpret sketches mark-ups architectural notes and design concepts accurately
- High level of attention to detail with strong accuracy in dimensions and drawing consistency
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines
- Experience in maintaining drawing registers version control and project documentation
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers builders and project stakeholders
- Experience with SketchUp Revit or other 3D modelling software is advantageous
- Familiarity with Australian residential construction standards and council requirements is preferred
- Diploma or certification in Drafting Architecture Building Design or a related field is preferred
