Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Dispatch Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the efficient movement of freight ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining strong communication with drivers customers and internal teams. This role involves scheduling shipments tracking loads resolving transit issues and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls as they arrive on the Night Dispatch queue
- Perform check calls as by the clients Account Executives
- Provide timely and efficient updates to Account Executives as they become available
- Use effective listening skills to collect required information and/or to identify potential conflicts
- Practice professional phone etiquette; provide excellent customer service to customers and carriers
- Troubleshoot problem loads and resolve issues pertaining to delays accidents pickup/delivery numbers and paperwork questions
- Issue advances to carriers pertaining to unloading charges and fuel advances
- Maintain communication with the carrier while loads are in transit
- Other duties as required or assigned
Requirements or Qualifications:
- Must be able to work full time 40 hrs per week
- Experience in logistics transportation or dispatch operations preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills. English Level C1.
- Can work Monday to Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm EST
- Has 1 or more years of experience Customer Service or in BPO
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
