Job Description

As a member of the Run and Support team you will provide onsite hardware and software support services to end users in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving break/fix issues for PCs printers mobile devices and AV/conferencing equipment as well as supporting company events and maintaining accurate asset records. Your role is critical in ensuring business continuity minimizing downtime on the manufacturing floor and delivering excellent customer service. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and the flexibility to render overtime whenever business needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite hardware and software support for end users in a manufacturing environment including troubleshooting and resolving break/fix issues for desktops laptops printers mobile phones and tablets.
  • Diagnose and repair end-user system failures and peripheral equipment issues ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems from user devices to the network including VPN support.
  • Conduct regular meeting room checks to ensure all AV equipment connectivity conferencing systems and room technology are fully functional.
  • Provide setup operation and troubleshooting support for IT AV and conferencing equipment during company events townhalls and critical business activities.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security procedures including virus detection eradication and protection.
  • Support asset and inventory management activities including CMDB tagging physical inventory checks and maintaining accurate records for all IT equipment and mobile devices.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 productivity tools (Teams Outlook) and support the setup and configuration of mobile devices and tablets.
  • Collaborate with onsite and remote teams to ensure timely incident resolution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as required.
  • Willingness to render overtime whenever needed to support events townhalls and urgent business or manufacturing needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of corporate desk side support experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a strong focus on Windows 10 and 11 environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and replace hardware for PCs laptops and end-user equipment.
  • Experience supporting configuring and troubleshooting mobile phones and tablets (iOS and Android).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications especially Teams and Outlook; familiarity with Intune for mobile device management.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory Intune and remote device management solutions.
  • Familiarity with asset management and inventory control processes including AMDB tagging and inventory audits for IT equipment and mobile devices.
  • Working knowledge of printer and peripheral hardware support.
  • Solid understanding of endpoint security tools and practices (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection Bitlocker SCCM RDP).
  • Ability to perform meeting room checks and provide basic support for AV/conferencing equipment and room technology.
  • Experience providing IT and AV support for internal and external company events and townhalls.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and render overtime as needed to support events manufacturing operations and critical business activities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting network and wireless connectivity issues including VPN support.
