Our client is a fast growing Australia-based direct response creative and social media agency. They partner with leading brands to translate audience attention into measurable business outcomes through data informed strategy and high impact creative.
Their work is centred on performance driven content rapid experimentation and scalable production supported by evolving workflows and emerging technologies.
The Opportunity
We are partnering with our client to hire a General Manager Creative Operations (Philippines) to lead and scale their Philippines based video editing function.
This is a senior leadership role focused on people structure and performance. It is not a hands-on editing role. The successful candidate will bring clarity accountability and operational discipline to a growing team ensuring consistent delivery and high quality output as the function scales.
You will work closely with Sydney based founders and leadership alongside the Editing Team Lead who continues to focus on craft and technical development. Your role is to lead the operating system of the team and ensure it performs at a consistently high level.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Performance
- Lead the overall performance of the Philippines based editing team
- Set clear expectations across quality output communication and ownership
- Establish a structured rhythm of check-ins team meetings and performance reviews
- Track individual performance and proactively address risks or gaps
- Manage underperformance in a clear fair and consistent way
- Support career progression and leadership development
- Build a culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement
Operational Leadership
- Own the daily operating rhythm of the editing function
- Oversee capacity planning workload distribution and delivery timelines
- Identify workflow gaps bottlenecks and recurring delivery challenges
- Strengthen processes documentation and reporting standards
- Ensure structured and consistent ways of working across the team
- Partner with leadership on hiring and team structure
- Act as the escalation point for operational issues
Quality and Standards
- Partner with the Editing Team Lead to ensure quality standards are clearly defined and applied
- Translate feedback from clients and leadership into clear team expectations
- Monitor quality trends and identify areas for improvement
- Address recurring quality issues through coaching or process changes
- Support the development of benchmarks best practices and quality frameworks
- Enable the team to operate with reduced reliance on senior intervention
People Development
- Lead regular performance and development conversations
- Identify skill communication and reliability gaps early
- Provide structured feedback and clear development plans
- Recommend promotions role changes or performance actions
- Support onboarding to ensure alignment with tools workflows and expectations
- Create a balanced environment of support and accountability
Collaboration and Alignment
- Work closely with founders Creative Director Client Servicing Lead and Editing Team Lead
- Ensure clear communication of priorities expectations and feedback
- Maintain alignment between creative direction client needs and delivery execution
- Proactively raise risks blockers or resourcing concerns
- Bring clarity and structure to a fast paced environment
What Were Looking For
Core Requirements
- Strong experience leading creative production or post production teams
- Proven experience managing teams of 10 or more
- Demonstrated strength in performance management and accountability
- Solid understanding of video editing workflows and creative production
- Experience managing output timelines capacity and quality standards
- Structured and confident leadership style
- Strong communication coaching and feedback skills
- Operational mindset with the ability to build scalable systems
- Experience working with international stakeholders
- High standards across quality reliability and professionalism
Nice to Have
- Experience managing team leads or senior team members
- Background in direct response paid social or high volume content production
- Familiarity with Meta and TikTok creative workflows
- Exposure to AI enabled editing tools or automation
- Experience building scorecards performance frameworks or QA systems
