Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Lead the management of finance operations to meet specific and changing needs ensuring timely submission of financial information for consolidation.
Analyse financial data identify trends and prepare reports for senior management.
Assess document and improve Divisional finance processes and systems continually.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of programmes resulting through regulatory change.
Provide strategic plans for assigned regions. and input to the VP of Finance Services.
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
Oversee activities to ensure high-quality consistent and timely service delivery.
Provide technical accounting guidance and support compliance with accounting requirements.
Work Experience:
Necessary Work Experience includes:
Significant relevant experience.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
Strong financial accounting background (CA/CPA or equivalent) with continuous professional development.
Extensive post qualification technical accounting experience in general insurance.
Proven experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Experience of dealing with people at all levels of the organization.
Extensive experience in finance team or accounting practice.
Experience in general insurance/reinsurance.
Experience in strategic analysis and development of reporting processes.
Practical experience in management and financial reporting environments.
Supervisory or management experience within Finance.
Contribution to the management of a complex financial services business.
Building leading and retaining talent in a finance operations environment.
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Certifications as an accountant.
