Job Summary

We are seeking a Corporate Legal Associate to join our Legal Department. This role will provide critical support in ensuring compliance with Philippine laws and regulations safeguarding the companys interests and managing corporate legal matters. The position reports directly to the Head of Legal and Corporate Legal Manager and collaborates with all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company before government agencies and regulatory bodies (SEC NLRC BIR LGUs Courts etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and protect the companys interests.
  • Provide guidance in securing business licenses permits certifications and renewals.
  • Assist in corporate housekeeping and compliance with reportorial requirements.
  • Manage legal cases attend hearings meetings and liaise with external counsel.
  • Draft review and amend contracts legal opinions memoranda and other legal documents.
  • Maintain corporate records and safeguard legal documentation.
  • Provide oversight on corporate matters and data privacy compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and provide preliminary advice to internal departments.
  • Support executive management and perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws / Juris Doctor degree.
  • Must be admitted to the Philippine Bar.
  • Preferably 3 years of experience as a lawyer in a corporate setting or law firm. New Bar passers are welcome to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law contracts law labor laws tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with government agencies (SEC NLRC BIR LGUs Courts).
  • Expertise in drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts and legal instruments.
  • Experience in litigation legal research and rendering legal opinions.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of legal procedures and documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g. CD Asia LexisNexis Chan Robles Virtual Law Library).
  • Skilled in drafting contracts pleadings and legal opinions.
  • Familiarity with corporate housekeeping and compliance requirements.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
