Contract ManufacturerSubcon Planner

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers based on demand forecasts and customer requirements
• Coordinate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery commitments
• Monitor material availability and ensure timely supply to support production plans
• Track and manage inventory levels (FG WIP raw materials) to avoid shortages or excess
• Expedite critical orders and resolve supply or production issues proactively
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to align on supplier capacity and constraints
• Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust plans accordingly
• Ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (forecast orders inventory lead times)
• Support new product introduction (NPI) planning and ramp-up activities
• Generate and present planning reports KPIs and performance metrics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers (lead time reduction efficiency cost optimization)

Education & Experience

• A bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Planning (functional skills)
  

Skills

• Knowledgeable in Oracle is an advantage
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
• Microsoft knowledge
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
