Job Summary
ROLEPURPOSE:
The Community Mobilizer is responsible for engaging communities to implement Save the Children Philippines Organizational Strategy and Philippine Sponsorship Program Strategies at the grassroots level. The role emphasizes inclusivity responsiveness climate-informed approaches and meaningful participation of children in programs and advocacy. The Community Mobilizer works closely with local stakeholders child-led groups and civil society organizations to ensure child rights are upheld and integrated into all aspects of programming.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead community mobilization efforts and social preparation plans aligned with SCPs inclusive responsive and climate-informed approaches.
- Facilitate co-designing of programs with children and communities promoting active participation and ownership.
- Engage with child-led groups (CLGs) and civil society organizations to ensure childrens voices influence program and policy decisions.
- Collaborate with local government units and other stakeholders to advance child-rights-focused initiatives including those addressing climate vulnerability.
- Ensure timely and quality execution of sponsorship operations including child enrollment annual family updates (AFU) and mid-year eligibility checks (MYEC).
- Implement proactive child support mechanisms such as case management risk mitigation and emergency response coordination.
- Promote child participation in governance processes supporting the establishment of inclusive platforms and advocacy efforts.
- Build the capacity of children and community members to participate in decision-making advocacy and program planning.
- Gather analyze and report on community-level data to inform decision-making and ensure programs meet childrens needs.
- Support children and communities in accessing climate-resilient programs and budgets.
- Integrate climate risk assessments into programming to address vulnerabilities and build resilience.
- Establish responsive social accountability mechanisms and promote a culture of safeguarding across all interactions with children and communities.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - AdegreeinSocialSciencesDevelopmentStudies CommunityDevelopmentPublicAdministrationPublicHealthorarelatedfield.
- Experience in community mobilization strategies
- Knowledge in Child Rights Programming or Child Rights Governance
- Understanding of the 9 principles of child participation
- Knowledgeof adolescentsexualand reproductivehealthchild protectionandgenderissues.
- Provenexperience(atleast2-3years)incommunitymobilizationparticipatoryapproachesandconductingawarenesscampaignsin rural or marginalized communities.
- Fluencyinthelocal language(s)and proficiencyinEnglish forreportingpurposes and communication purposes.
- Experienceinmonitoringand evaluationincludingtheuseoftoolsand softwarefordatacollectionand analysis.
- Knowledge in participatory approach
