MediaDevelopment Formore than40 years we have promoted the highest standards in journalism by training reporters around the world to cover issues relevant to their local context accurately and impartially. Today we work to strengthen local and national journalism improve media ethics standards and regulation combat - building and via our funding of the Reuters Institute for theStudy of Journalism at the University of Oxford.
FreeLegalAssistance(TrustLaw) resources forcivil societyorganisations socialenterprisesand independent media. By spreading the practice of pro bono worldwide we strengthen civil society and drive social change. Key Responsibilities
Support the Communications team toplan and deliver regular content for our internal channelstodriveengagement and connection with ourglobalnetwork of staff.
Writecommunicationsmaterialforbothinternalandexternalaudiencesunderstandingcomplexinformationandtailoringitforrelevantaudiences.
Contribute to theproduction of creative content forthe Foundations annual flagship event Trust Conference and other events as.
Support senior members of the team with campaign delivery and regularly evaluatethe effectiveness ofcomms activities.
Stay across sector trends andsuggestnewand creative approaches asneeded.
Workwithdeliveryandthoughtleadershipteamstosourcecommunicationscontent such ashuman interest andimpact storiesthat arerelevanttoouraudiencesandstrategywhileswiftlyand effectively actioning communications support requests from across the business.
Build relationships with a range of thought leadership and service delivery teamsto support programmatic communications activities and fundraising priorities.
Providegeneralcommunicationssupport includingmanaging the enquiries inbox and drafting initial responsesand supporting the team whereon external communications campaigns
Contribute to the planning and delivery of campaigns around relevant internationaldays.
Required Qualifications
Provenexperienceinintegratedcommunicationsideallyforaninternationalorganisationthedevelopmentsectororwithinafast-pacedenvironment.
Strong ability to write and edit a range of communications materials in a fast-paced environment keeping audience needs and interests at the forefront of written work.
Excellentcommunicationskills(verbalwrittenandinterpersonal).
Adept at understandingand assimilatingcomplex information.
Rigorousattentiontodetailandastrongfocusonaccuracywithexceptionalresearchandanalyticalskills.
A highly motivated self-starter withanability to work independently and take initiative.
Exceptionalorganisationalskillsmustbeabletowork acrosssimultaneousprojectsledbymultipleteammembers.
A strongteamethic keen to learn new skills and shareexpertise.
Theabilitytoworkcreativelyspeedilyandaccuratelyunderpressureandtoprioritiseaccordingly.
Fluent English is essential andadditionallanguages an advantage.
A related bachelors degree to communications or business
Preferred Qualifications
Projectmanagementexperienceorapersonalinterestinsocialhumanitarianand/orenvironmentalissues(weareparticularlyinterestedtohearmore about these throughout the process).
