About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager (BDM) based in the Philippines to grow our Australian client base for our remote staffing and offshore workforce solutions.

The BDM will be responsible for the complete business development lifecyclefrom identifying Australian businesses that could benefit from offshore staffing prospecting and engaging decision-makers conducting discovery meetings developing staffing solutions and proposals through to negotiating and closing new clients.

The successful candidate should understand how Australian SMEs and mid-market businesses use offshore teams to reduce operating costs access skilled talent and scale their businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and target potential Australian clients across industries such as IT professional services retail eCommerce logistics accounting administration customer service digital marketing and other service-based businesses.
  • Build a qualified B2B sales pipeline through LinkedIn email campaigns cold calling networking referrals and other outbound channels.
  • Research target organisations and identify key decision-makers including CEOs Founders Managing Directors COOs CFOs HR Managers and Operations Managers.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand the clients business staffing challenges required skills budget and growth plans.
  • Educate prospective clients on the benefits and operating model of Philippines-based remote staffing.
  • Recommend appropriate staffing solutions based on the clients requirements.
  • Work with recruitment and operations teams to translate client requirements into clear candidate/job specifications.
  • Prepare proposals quotations staffing models and commercial presentations.
  • Manage objections relating to offshore staffing communication productivity security employee management and remote-working arrangements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and progress opportunities through to signed agreements.
  • Maintain accurate prospect opportunity and activity information within the CRM.
  • Develop long-term relationships with Australian clients and identify opportunities to expand existing accounts.
  • Work closely with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales recruitment candidate placement onboarding account management.
  • Track sales performance including leads meetings proposals conversions pipeline value and revenue.
  • Provide regular pipeline forecasts and sales reports to management.
  • Monitor the Australian remote staffing and outsourcing market and provide competitor and customer insights.

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • 3 years of B2B business development sales or account management experience.
  • Strong outbound prospecting and lead-generation experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Confidence communicating with Australian senior executives and business owners.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct online discovery and sales meetings.
  • Experience preparing commercial proposals and negotiating with clients.
  • Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to work predominantly during Australian business hours.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience selling offshore staffing remote staffing recruitment BPO outsourcing managed services or professional services.
  • Experience selling into the Australian market.
  • Existing knowledge of the Philippines outsourcing/staffing industry.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM platforms such as HubSpot Salesforce or Zoho.
  • Understanding of Australian SME and mid-market business environments.
  • Experience selling recurring-revenue services.
