JOB TITLE: APAC TAXATION SPECIALIST
LOCATION: Manila Philippines (Remote or Hybrid)

Genesys is seeking a highly motivated APAC Taxation Specialist to join our growing Global Tax team. This role will support all tax related matters across multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions and report directly to the Global Tax Team located in the United States. You will work closely with internal finance teams and external tax advisors to help ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support audits tax inquiries and other compliance-related activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized able to manage multiple priorities and can work effectively across time zones.

This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in regional tax compliance while collaborating with colleagues and advisors across the APAC region. Youll gain exposure to a variety of tax regulations reporting requirements and cross-functional teams helping you build both technical and professional skills within a global organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare and coordinate direct and indirect tax filings across APAC jurisdictions including corporate income tax WHT VAT local business taxes and other local corporate taxes.
• Prepare tax computations reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Monitor filing calendars and ensure timely submissions.
• Coordinate tax payments and maintain compliance documentation.
• Stay updated on international and local tax law developments to ensure compliance and optimization.

Tax Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal finance and accounting teams to gather information required for tax filings.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and service providers.
• Support statutory reporting and tax registrations as needed.

Audit & Compliance Support

• Maintain tax records and audit-ready documentation.
• Support tax audits notices and information requests from tax authorities.
• Assist with tax reconciliations and compliance reviews.

Process Improvement & Ad-hoc Projects

• Support tax process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Assist with implementation of new tax requirements and reporting obligations.
• Support regional tax projects as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy Finance Taxation or a related field.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in tax compliance tax reporting or accounting with tax responsibilities.
• Experience preparing tax returns reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Strong understanding of Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial data and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Requires professional proficiency in English with the ability to articulate financial data and discuss tax compliance fluently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a multinational company shared services environment or public accounting firm.
• Exposure to APAC tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Workday or SAP.
• Experience supporting tax audits and working with external tax advisors.
