Job Summary
What IT Client Services contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development delivery and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates plans and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
IT Client Services provides Tier 1-3 virtual and physical support to the organizations end users for software hardware conference room technology and meeting support warehouse technology server network and enterprise systems issues. Frequently responding to escalated issues from the IT Service Center family this job family resolves user requests through discussions with users and coordination with internal and external resources and provides education and trainings to users to facilitate knowledge transfer and prevent problem reoccurrence. IT Client Services also maintains ownership for certain end user productivity platforms and capabilities such as virtual environments and collaboration toolsets and addresses service outages. This job family acquires installs and upgrades PC components and software while also performing asset management for software and hardware.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience preferred
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
- Create update and remove user accounts and access based on approved requests
- Strong computer literacy and comfort working with multiple systems
- High attention to detail and ability to follow documented steps
- Reliable organized and able to manage a queue of requests
- Clear written and verbal English-language communication skills
- Basic familiarity with IT tickets or structured work requests
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Provision access in Active Directory Entra ID SaaS apps and internal applications
- Ensure requests are properly authorized and documented for audit purposes
- Follow standard procedures to make accurate consistent access changes
- Support MFA enrollment and basic access troubleshooting
- Assist with access reviews audits and documentation updates
- Escalate issues when requests are unclear incomplete or outside policy
- Applies basic concepts principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
- Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
- Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
- Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
- Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID
- Help-/Service-Desk IT operations or access provisioning experience
- Familiarity with MFA or identity tools (Entra Okta etc.)
- Experience working from written procedures or SOPs
