AI Automation Engineer

• Location: Remote (Canada preferred)
• Hours: 20 hours/week
• Working Hours: Partial overlap with 8:00 AM4:00 PM Pacific Time
• Budget: $900/month (flexible for the right candidate)

Were looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer to design build deploy and maintain AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents across multiple businesses. Youll work directly with the founders to create scalable AI systems that automate marketing operations reporting and internal processes.

This is a technical role focused on building reliable production-ready AI solutionsnot just creating prompts or marketing automations.

• Design and build AI-powered workflows using Make n8n APIs and LLMs
• Build AI agents and multi-agent systems for business automation
• Integrate AI with CRM email platforms databases webhooks and third-party APIs
• Develop AI-assisted coding workflows using Claude Code or similar tools
• Debug optimize and maintain AI workflows in production
• Implement monitoring logging testing and observability
• Optimize model selection latency token usage and costs
• Deploy and maintain workflows using cloud platforms Docker or serverless infrastructure
• Document reusable systems and automation frameworks
• Collaborate closely with the founders to rapidly prototype and improve AI solutions

• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience working with REST APIs JSON webhooks and Git
• Experience with Make n8n or similar workflow automation platforms
• Experience building AI agents and multi-agent workflows
• Strong prompt engineering and structured output design
• Experience debugging and maintaining AI workflows
• Understanding of context management memory and human-in-the-loop workflows
• Experience deploying AI applications to production
• Knowledge of testing monitoring security and production best practices

• Experience with Claude Code or Cursor
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings
• Experience with Shopify Klaviyo GA4 or Search Console
• SEO or email marketing knowledge
• DTC e-commerce or subscription business experience
• Startup or agency experience
