Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work at its offices in Lima Peru.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for preparing estimates and budgets and monitoring them throughout all project phases.
- Coordinating and reviewing the work performed by the team responsible for extracting quantities from Revit models elaborating Bills of Quantities analyzing unit prices and estimating construction quantities for large and complex projects.
- Acting as a hands-on performer for the responsibilities described above.
- Working alongside the Cost team to elaborate Quantity Estimates using pricing databases or other data sources.
- Collaborating with the Design team to produce specifications in various formats as required.
- Collaborating with the Design team and other disciplines to produce the technical documents necessary to complete the design package.
- Demonstrating the ability to interface with all professional levels.
- Possessing knowledge of AACE PMI and PMBOK methodologies.
- Interacting with main suppliers to obtain quotations for services equipment and materials.
- Developing and maintaining unit cost databases for construction projects using local sources.
- Handling and resolving conflicts professionally and tactfully.
- Exhibiting strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively under supervision in a team environment.
- Analyzing budgets S-curves and cash flows.
- Preparing CAPEX for construction packages.
- Managing quantities using KPIs based on Earned Value as well as SPI and CPI indicators.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Building Engineering (or a related field) 6 years of experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit BIM 360 Presto S10 and Cost-It applied to large infrastructure construction or transportation projects.
- Experience in Quantity Take-Off (QTO) related to BIM models including multidisciplinary coordination on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g. rail hospitals airports commercial development metro or urban development).
- Working knowledge of industry-standard planning and scheduling software such as MS Project Primavera P6 and Navisworks.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree/Building Engineer 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with10 years of experience in costs quantity take off (QTO) including BIM data extraction areas.
- 5 years of experience coordinating or supervising technical staff on QTO using BIM models and quantities calculation.
- BIM Masters degree or certification.
- Knowledge of international WBS standards.
- Experience with the project costs and QTO approval processes with the Peruvian government.
- Experience in the calculation and preparation of OPEX.
- Construction on-site supervision experience.
