Mining Infrastructure Lead

AECOM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mining Infrastructure Lead for employment in Lima Peru.  This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence delivering exceptional mining services and supporting growth of our services to our clients across Peru and LATAM.

As a member of the Mining Leadership Team for Peru the Mining Infrastructure Lead will play a key role in shaping the future of our mining business fostering innovation and maintaining AECOMs reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Serve as a key member of the Mining Leadership Team for Peru & LATAM contributing to the development and execution of the mining business strategy.
• Help drive growth initiatives identify new business opportunities and expand AECOMs mining services portfolio across Peru & LATAM.
• Champion a culture of collaboration innovation and excellence within the mining team.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the department including civil geotechnical mechanical structural electrical and instrumentation discipline staff.
• Establish and implement best practices processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Monitor and manage department performance metrics.

People Management:

• Lead mentor and develop a diverse team of professionals located across multiple provinces.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that supports employee engagement growth and retention.
• Conduct performance reviews provide constructive feedback and identify opportunities for professional development.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients industry partners and stakeholders to ensure AECOMs position as a trusted advisor in the mining sector.
• Represent AECOM at industry events conferences and forums to promote our expertise and capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of multidisciplinary services to clients.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering; Civil Geology Environmental Science or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in the mining industry with a proven track record of leadership and operational management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong understanding of the Peruvian mining sector including regulatory frameworks market trends and client needs.
• English/Spanish Fluency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (.) designation or equivalent certification.
• 12 years of experience in the mining industry
• Experience with business development strategic planning and client relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and manage remote employees effectively.
