Job Summary
Knowledge products: Narrative and Visual Design to Raise Awareness of Socio-Bioeconomy in Peru
AmazonBeEco is a regional initiative financed by IDB Lab the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Conexsus which serves also as the executing agency in partnership with a strategic coalition including Fundación Aliados (Ecuador) Amazon Conservation Team (Suriname) NESsT (Peru) IC Fundación (Colombia) and Conservation International (Guyana). The project aims to boost income generation for community-based biobusinesses across six countries by integrating biodiversity conservation traditional knowledge and economic justice.
NESsT as the implementing partner in Peru is looking to capture and systemate lessons learned methodologies and practical experiences transforming them into actionable knowledge products that contribute to the projects Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategy and operation. The following themes are covered during the implementation of this project: 1. Technical Support (Technical assistance management and organizational governance) 2. Innovation (Technologies new arrangements and digital solutions) 3. Market Access (Commercialization channels and certifications) 4. Credit Readiness (financial readiness) 5. Finance (Financial instruments credit and blended finance).
Consolidate systematize and translate knowledge generated from the country operations into structured high-impact knowledge products (e.g. guides manuals case studies) aligned with the projects Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategy and operation.
Ensure technical quality relevance and usability of knowledge products supporting their validation and facilitating their dissemination.
Activities
Lead the consolidation systematization and structuring of knowledge products derived from project implementation in Peru.
Interact with the NESsT Peru team portfolio and content developed by them.
Collect lessons learned and good practices using standardized formats ensuring comparability and usability in Peru.
Develop high-quality knowledge products (4) which include case studies blogs technical notes and content for dissemination through the projects Knowledge Hub.
of Deliverables
The expected deliverables include:
Product 1 (Flagship). Portfolio Case Study Collection
Development of three enterprise case studies highlighting:
- Indigenous-led enterprise
- Women-led enterprise
- Enterprise advancing toward external investment.
Objective / Dissemination platform: reports website content conferences social media and the projects Knowledge Hub.
Product 2. Building Investment-Ready Amazonian Biobusinesses Guide
Preparation of a practical learning guide focused on:
- Readiness assessment
- Common barriers
- Financing needs
- Enterprise strengthening journey.
This guide This aligns directly with the projects credit-readiness and finance objectives and may be disseminated through conferences social media and the Knowledge Hub.
Product 3. Knowledge Hub Content Package
Derived from Products 1-3 includes:
- Four blog articles
- One presentation
- Social media package (graphics and copy)
- 1-pager donor summary brief
Objective / Dissemination platform: website social media platforms and the Knowledge Hub.
Product 4. Peru Knowledge Legacy Kit
Development of a repository package containing:
- Interview templates
- Case study template
- Lessons learned methodology
- Photo documentation guide
Objective / Dissemination platform: internal purposes.
Of The Contracting Party
- The Contracting Party will provide information regarding the projects objectives and any other information relevant to the performance of the activities under this consulting engagement.
- To the extent possible and with prior notice the Contracting Party will facilitate contacts with identified relevant stakeholders.
- The Contracting Party will provide the consultant with a letter of introduction or any other documents required for the performance of the activities under this consulting engagement.
The Contracting Party commits to meet the following deadlines for each phase:
- Kickoff document review interview planning: 1 week approx
- Interviews with 3 enterprises NESsT team members (scheduling included): 2 weeks approx
- Product 1: 3 case studies: 2 weeks approx
- NESsT review round #1: 1 week approx
- Product 2: Investment-readiness guide: 2 weeks approx
- NESsT review round #2: 1 week approx
- Product 3: Knowledge Hub package: 1-2 week approx
- Product 4: Legacy kit: 1 week approx
- Final revisions QA formatting approvals and final delivery: 1-2 week approx
- Translations: English/Spanish: 1-2 week approx
Profile And Experience
- Demonstrable experience in impactful communication storytelling and digital design.
- Creative writing and editing skills in Spanish.
- Technical proficiency with the following tools:
- Adobe InDesign for layout design.
- Illustrator and Photoshop/Lightroom for visual creation and editing.
- Canva for social media content.
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI and digital accessibility.
- Experience with impact reporting sustainable development or community-based projects.
- Ability to conduct online interviews ethically and effectively.
- Project management skills: task organization meeting deadlines and coordinating with diverse teams.
- Cultural sensitivity toward Indigenous communities and Amazonian contexts.
Terms
Technical and Financial Proposal: Submit a proposal that includes all relevant information about the consultant or firm along with a portfolio of previous work. The quote must include all expenses and fees necessary for consulting services. Proposals must be submitted by September 11.
Deadline: Delivery of the final product by January14.
Payment Terms: 30% upon signing the contract and the remainder upon approval of the deliverables. Negotiable
